Our story
From building websites to caring for them.
GoWP didn’t start as a maintenance company. It began in 2004 as a web development shop, and by 2009 it was all-in on WordPress, building sites for digital agencies.
Then a pattern showed up. Clients kept coming back. Not for another build, but for help. Updates, fixes, small edits, security scares. What they actually needed was someone to look after the site.
So in 2014, GoWP became that company. The project work was set aside to do one thing well: care for WordPress sites, day in and day out. That focus grew into white-label maintenance behind hundreds of agencies and a community of thousands of agency owners.
A decade later, everything that experience taught us is built into a platform anyone can use, with the same real people behind it. Because happiness is knowing your website is in good hands.

GoWP began as a web development shop building sites for digital agencies, and was all-in on WordPress by 2009.
The pivot to care
Clients kept coming back after launch needing updates, fixes, and support. We stopped building sites and started caring for them full time.

Pioneered visual checks
One of the first to bring visual regression testing to WordPress maintenance. Our Visual Validator compared key pages before and after an update, and the platform still does.
